Welcome back to the “Nest” Crows Fans.

What a weekend last weekend was against Bungaree. It saw great wins by our Senior footballers, A Grade netballer’s and the Under 18 footballer’s.

The Seniors was a close tussle all day with Bungaree taking a 17-point lead into the ¾ time break. Our boys gained the momentum and came home strong to secure a 2-point win, well done boys. It was great to see Lachie “Lizard” Murray kick 5 goals with great support from DJ, Toddy, the Skipper Haase and the Vice-Captain Cocko and one of our emerging young leaders in Cormac stand up and take control of the game to earn a great win.

Our 2’s battled hard all day and played some good footy but just couldn’t get there in the end.
The 18’s played well to beat a side that has had the wood over them for a few years now.
The 15’s played well and are enjoying their footy under Coach Sam Leckie.
The 12’s fell just short against a pretty good side, but they all looked like they had a great game with lots of smiles as they came off the ground.

The A Grade girls had a great game with a classy 11 goal win over Bungaree and sit just outside the 8 for now. Unfortunately, they were the only bright spot for the day with the other sides going down.

Saturday night saw our Paddock to Plate with the meal being prepared by locally renowned foodie Sara Kittelty who sourced locally produced  produce, including Trawalla lamb and kitchen garden vegetables, fruit, and even edible flowers for a delicious meal.

Our guest speaker Gerard Murphy spoke about his time as one of the most influential sports leadership and team building consultants.
Gerard spoke about the development of the much-revered high-performance culture at AFL powerhouse Geelong, propelling the team to win 3 premierships in 5 years and becoming the league benchmark for team performance.
He also spoke about his time at Richmond, Port Adelaide, Sydney and most recently, 2021 Premiers, Melbourne.
Today we welcome Carngham Linton to the “Nest” to compete for the Jack Harney Cup. Good Luck to all teams today.

Today we also have our Life Members, Past Players & Past Officials Day. It is shaping up to be a great day and night with plenty of stories about yester year, thanks to Butch Franc for all his hard work on getting the day organised. We also have  some fantastic live music from local musicians  from 8.30pm to help party the night away
